What is Deep Week?

Deep Week is a one-of-a-kind experience! There is no other event like this in the world! It is the world's premier Freediving Education Event and the worlds largest freediving festival.

Deep Week brings the world’s best best freediving instructors and freediving athletes and experts to one spectacular place for a week of diving, learning and self exploration.

A whole week where we can share knowledge and improve our diving!

The training at Deep Week is suitable for all levels.

We get many absolute beginners joining the event all the way up to freediving instructors wanting to up skill and freediving competitors seeking to improve their knowledge and technique.

No other freediving camp is able to offer this level of experience and expertise… Or fun! Join the Freediving Family and learn to dive safely while you make new friends from all over the world.

This Deep Week Offers Something Truly Unique…

As many of you know, the AIDA World Championship is happening in Limassol one week after Deep Week ends! This means that Larnaca will be FULL of record holders bobbing around to give workshops during the week! Between Adam and Brandon, they know basically every single competitor that will be be diving and they are recruiting them to lead our daily workshops during Deep Week. As we lock divers down, they will appear here!

Diving in the Mediterranean, calm and relaxing conditions!

Cyprus is in the Med, which means that its calm surface is perfect for some of the best diving conditions in the world. While there can be current on occasion, September is some of the calmest waters of the year with temps between 25c and 28c!

What more could you want to get the most out of your training?

  • The Workshops

    Every day our instructors will hold a variety of workshops on different freediving topics.

    You are welcome to attend as many or as few activities as you like and choose which workshops to attend based on your interests.

    We have some of the best freedivers and athletes joining us and sharing their knowledge so you wont want to miss out.

  • The Activities

    During Deep Week, we will dive every day. Wednesday is your Rest Day and there are great options of things to do outside of the water (details in the event guide coming soon!)

    We will also hold pool sessions, static sessions and all the Wave theory sessions needed to complete your course.

    You are also welcome to attend morning yoga and evening visualization sessions!

    Deep Week is choose your own adventure! You’re welcome to all the activities and free to do as much or as little as you like.

Accommodation and getting around in Cyprus

Getting around on foot is pretty easy and so is renting a taxi! Pedal bikes are also a great way to get around and there are a few places that rent so just search around online! Some will probably also be keen to rent scooters! Chat with your accommodation to see what they have available.

It's worth mentioning that there are a wide range of accommodations in the area but we recommend booking your accommodation as close to the Golden Bay Beach Hotel as possible. This will be our main workshop and meeting area during the week.

In order to make sure that you are around for all Deep Week activities, we encourage you to arrive in the afternoon on the 5th of September at latest (as we will dive the morning of the 6th) and then dont leave until the 14th of September as we will have our after party the night of the 13th!

The Venue: Golden Bay Beach Hotel

We will be hosted by the one and only Golden Bay Beach Hotel during our week in Cyprus! They also have a great pool for us to take over as well as beach access for us to get picked up every morning to head out to dive!

They are centrally located in the Pyla district which sits on the beachfront overlooking the bay where we will be diving every day!

We encourage you to book directly through their website as they are able to have more flexibility with pricing that way. Space is limited as it is high season so we do suggest booking your accommodation as soon as you put your deposit down with us so you can get your accommodation nice and close! Just tell them you are there for Deep Week!

You do not need to book with the Golden Bay Beach Hotel to join Deep Week. We know that everyone has a different budget so as long as you are close enough to the hotel to either walk or ride a bike, you should be good to go!

The price includes all training and certification costs but does not include any accommodation, travel, meals or gear hire. To ensure your booking is confirmed, please provide a $550 AUD non-refundable deposit. The remaining amount can be paid 8 weeks prior to Deep Week. Your transaction is secure. Terms of Service.

FAQs

  • If you want to have a week of line training, workshops, pool sessions and meet amazing people, then yes!
    It doesn’t matter which is your freediving level. In Deep Week we have students that range from beginner to advanced. You can take a Wave Course during the week or just join us for training and the experience itself.

  • All of our courses are Molchanovs Courses.

  • Your partner is welcome to join you and participate in our morning yoga, meditation or afternoon meditation sessions. They can visit town while you’re out in the water!

  • The price includes all workshops, training and certification costs. Staff, set-up and facilities to run the event are covered by your ticket.

    Deep Week does not include accommodation, travel expenses, visa fees, COVID tests, meals or gear hire.

  • We cannot issue refunds.

    For any circumstances that prevent you from coming to the event, we offer to transfer your payment (deposit or full payment) to a future event in 2023 if you give us at least 30 days notice before the start of the event.
