What began as a small family business, founded by Australian Freediving Champion Adam Stern, has grown into one of the world’s leading freediving schools over the past decade.
With our roots in Australia, we offer courses across the country through our main school, Freediving Australia, helping thousands of people discover the underwater world in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
But over the years, our community has expanded far beyond Australia.
Today, we also run international courses, training camps and adventure trips in some of the world’s most incredible freediving destinations.

As an 8x Australian Record holder and one of the creators of the Molchanovs Education System, Adam is is recognized as one of the leading freedivers in the world as both a competitor and a pioneer in freediving education.

Alexey is not only the world’s deepest freediver and multi-world-record holder, but as the founder of the Molchanovs Education System, he’s also a leading visionary and pioneer in freediving education.

Marissa Schmidt
Marissa oversees the planning and execution of Freediving Family’s international experiences. She’s also the director of all communication between students and partners and your go-to for any event related questions!
Director of Operations
Brandon Reed
Brandon is a freediving instructor, a breath training coach, and occasionally does commentary for freediving World Championships. As the Director of Education, Brandon manages all of our training programs and courses!
