Freediving Family Reunion:
Reef and Wreck Diving in Cozumel, México
What Are Freediving Family Reunions?
Freediving Family Retreats are our way of bringing the friends and family we meet at Deep Weeks together once again to use what we learned to have fun and dive together in an incredible place somewhere in the world!
Each family reunion is a close knit and unique experience for those that join. Space is very limited at these events which opens us up to one of a kind opportunities to explore the world with friends.
Explore the second largest barrier reef in the world
Come with us to explore the second largest barrier reef in the world, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, just off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico - an experience that borders on the surreal! As you slip beneath the surface, the water transforms into a kaleidoscope of turquoise, sapphire, and deep cerulean blues. The reef bursts with life with towering coral formations reaching toward the sun, teeming with vibrant schools of angelfish, parrotfish, and shimmering silversides that twist and turn in mesmerizing synchrony. *mind explosion!*
Gliding over the reef, you become part of this thriving underwater world, floating alongside sea turtles and eagle rays that cruise the currents with graceful ease.
Diving deeper, the reefs give way to the haunting beauty of shipwrecks resting silently on the ocean floor, timeworn yet yet covered in so much life. These relics of history have become artificial reefs, covered in soft corals and sea fans swaying with the rhythm of the sea, ready to explore.
Peering through portholes and swimming through the open hulls, you’re surrounded by darting fish, curious barracudas, and the eerie, peaceful stillness that only a shipwreck can offer. It’s a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, history and nature, making every dive in Cozumel not just an exploration, but a journey into the deep soul of the ocean.

The Activities
This adventure is FULL of vibrant reefs, marine life encounters and wreck diving!
Our days are split between being on the water diving on stunning reefs and wrecks and also spending time exploring Cancun eating and hanging out on beaches. Each day we’ll venture out from our cozy accommodation - equipped with A/C, Wi-Fi, a pool and breakfast - to the stunning reefs of Cozumel via private boat.
We’ll spend 5 to 6 hours on the water before returning to relax and unwind where we’ll get to hang out and connect with our fellow Freediving Family friends for dinner and exploration of beautiful Cozumel 🫶
And because we have a feeling you probably like diving, we have also added another day of underwater exploration close to the hotel where we will do a cheeky little shore dive before we jump back onto the ferry and depart this beautiful island.

The water in Cozumel is pretty warm!! Between 27-30C. For the most part, the wetsuit you wear will be primarily for sun protection. 1.5mm or 3mm should be fine and if you wanted to do a rash guard and leggings to protect yourself, that would be totally viable as well. If you do get cold, you can jump out, warm up in the sun on the boat deck, and jump back in when you are ready!
-
You can pay an initial deposit to secure your spot and later on pay the remainder balance.
With no deposit, there is no booking confirmed.
As soon as you book in, you will receive an email with a button that says “Pay Remainder Balance”. You can click that button anytime you like.
We ask the full payment to be covered six weeks before the start of the event.
You can also choose to pay in full.

PayPal or credit card. Your transaction is secured.

Nothing during the retreat is compulsory.
If you feel like you need some time to chill and relax by skipping a dive session, then by all means do so!
With a smaller group, we have more flexibility to go off script but, as always, this is your vacation and you get to decide how you want to engage with it!
