Deep Week Bali

What is Deep Week?

Deep Week is a week long freediving course set in some of the world’s top freediving destinations. It brings the best freedivers, instructors and experts to one spectacular location for 7 full days of diving, workshops, yoga, meditation and community building!

Most accurately described as an underwater freediving festival, it’s the best place to make life-long freediving friends while getting a premier freediving education. There is truly no other event like it in the world, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience.

The training at Deep Week is suitable for all levels. We get all skill levels joining the event from absolute beginners, to freediving instructors wanting to up-skill, all the way up to freediving competitors seeking to improve their knowledge and technique.

Freediving in Amed, Bali

There’s a reason Deep Week Bali has been our staple event for over 10 years. Amed, a sleepy fishing village that sits under the impressive view of Mount Agung in North East Bali, has become an epicenter of freediving.

Jemeluk Bay, where all of our line-diving sessions take place, offers 60m of depth less than 100m from shore over beautiful corals and fish life.

The bay is fairly sheltered from wind and waves and often boasts 20m+ of visibility, making it some of the world’s most idyllic diving conditions.

  • The Workshops

Each Deep Week is different and offers interesting and unique workshops but there are always a few classics as well. Brandon, along with our other guest instructors, will be leading a variety of interesting and fun workshops every day.

They are a great opportunity to learn from some of the best divers and freediving educators in the world and one of the things that makes Deep Week such an amazing and unique experience.

If you aren’t feeling any of the workshops on the day, no worries! Everything at Deep Week is optional!

We also hold sunrise yoga and sunset meditation each day.

Nothing at the event is compulsory. You’re welcome to all the activities and free to do as much or as little as you like.

Our special guest

World Champion and World’s deepest diver - Alexey Molchanov - will once again be joining us for Deep Week Bali in 2027.

As the founder of Molchanovs, the world’s largest freediving education system, Alexey offers unparalleled knowledge and expertise. His workshops are fun, engaging and insightful.

Not to mention Alexey is a total vibe and can often be found hanging out and answering questions! His favorite part of the event is the setting the time to beat for our Deep Week Ninja Warrior course (an underwater obstacle course with prizes for the fastest man and woman)!

Check out all the fun last year.

The Venue

Our main space for the event is Blue Earth Village. This is where we host wave theory, workshops, yoga, meditation and all of the pool sessions in their 2m deep 25m pool (from recycled shipping containers).

They have 8 rooms available for booking and they go quickly so be sure to reach out after booking your spot for Deep Week.

Blue Earth is also just a 2 minute drive from Apneista which is our partner for this event. The buoy setups are located just off the beach from Apneista so we’ll head into the water together each morning from the dive shop.

You are welcome to book to stay wherever you like but we recommend staying as close as possible to the main event locations as possible! Accommodation is not included in the cost of the event and it is your responsibility to book your own accommodation!

Getting to Amed

Amed is about a 3 hour drive from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar (DPS).

When you book onto the event you’ll be added to an event group chat on Whatsapp where people usually organize to share a taxi!

We recommend arriving the day before the event (April 2nd) as the Friday is when we have registration and a welcome meeting. And depart no early than Sunday, April 11th, as we have an end of week party on the night of the 10th!
